Technology Overview
The Airetrak RTLS technology solution consists of four core components:
Active 802.11 tags
RFID tags come in many forms but can be grouped into Active and Passive. Airetrak’s solution makes use of Active tags, based on the 802.11 WLAN standard. Active tags contain a battery which can typically last 5 years, depending on the frequency of data transmission. The tags can be attached to physical assets or to people, using wristbands. The solution additionally recognizes any 802.11 enable device, such as laptops and PDAs.
WLAN 802.11 wireless network
The Airetrak solution makes use of existing wireless networks based on the 802.11 standard, by operating at a software layer above the physical infrastructure. This is different to many other RTLS solutions which are based on proprietary wireless standards or make use of proprietary equipment overlayed on 802.11 infrastructure.

Airetrak RTLS Engine v2.0
The Kalamra RTLS Engine is a unique software based product which takes information such as signal strength and unique device identification for devices on the WLAN and determines exact location of the device based on established WLAN technology and standards. The solution will record the time and location of people and assets with an attached tag. pinpointing their location to a couple of metres.

Divitas: Mobile Convergence:
Today's mobile worker may carry a PDA for managing contacts and schedules, a laptop for running e-mail and business applications, and a cell phone for voice communication. Not only is this cumbersome, but it also presents deployment, financial and support challenges. DiVitas lets you place and receive calls with a single device anywhere your mobile device has a WiFi or cellular signal and even works as your PBX phone. No matter what your business it allows you to be highly responsive and collaborative while reducing voicemails and call backs. Inability to reach key employees, over reliance on voice mail systems leads to unresponsiveness, missed deadlines and customer dissatisfaction.
The DiVitas MMC solution consists of a Mobile Convergence Appliance™ (MCA) deployed inside the enterprise and a Mobile Convergence Client™ (MCC) embedded in popular handsets.
